Messy Times Ahead!

Here are a few pictures of our first attempts at cereal! James thought the first try was the best game we had ever played.  I don't think he swallowed one bite, but this week he is eating like a pro! Each day I think how amazingly children grow and develop, from a fetus in the womb to wide eyed and curious, God is good!
"You watched me as I was...woven together in the dark of the womb.  You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book.  Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed."  Psalm 139: 15-16

Climate Change?

James's first snow....James did find the snow interesting falling on his head, but because it wasn't red, blue or green, he didn't really appreciate the beauty as we did!  Fun Times!

What Surprised You About Becoming a Mother

An excerpt from the book
"What Every Mom Needs".  By: Elisa Morgan & Carol Kuykendall.
Thank you Lori H.

What Surprised You about Becoming a Mother

Myself.
My temper and impatience.
How tired I feel.
How much I love my child.
That while I love my children, some days I don't like them.
How I can't wait to get away from my children,
and then when I do, how much I miss them.
How being a mom brings out the best and worst in me.
Some things I say to my children that I vowed I'd never say.
How many times a nose needs to be wiped.
How long a day can be.
How quickly children change from stage to stage.
How much more I appreciate my mother.
How much more I understand God's love for me.
How wonderful it is to be called "Mommy."
                                          (Waiting anxiously on this one!)

4 Month Check Up!

James had his 4 month check up this morning.  Shots are never fun, but he acted like a big boy! He weighs 15 lbs., 4 ozs. (50th percentile) and is 24 7/8" in length (50th percentile).  The doctor says he is doing great!
Thanks to Uncle Dan and Aunt Dana for my new Razorback Hat.  "Let's get ready to call those Hogs!"
