While bringing home baby is wonderful, I must say I'm ready for him to be in his own room. Construction continues on our new home.
Here's what I've learned so far:
1. The completion date is never the completion date! I think I handled it very well when our end of December move date turned into the first of January and then into the end of January, but now we have moved on to a February date and I'm getting a little anxious. Ok, a lot anxious and maybe a little frustrated. :-)
2. Everything costs more than estimated! From flooring to tile to even paint. I always manage to pick out the most expensive item or process.
3. At least in our area, speaking Spanish would be helpful.
4. Invest in good rubber boots and don't just stand there unsure of what to do when your 3 year old falls knee deep in mud. "Really, Kim?!"
On a serious note, we are super excited and can't wait to show you the finished product!
