First Fair Adventure

Waving at the animals.  There were a lot of "Moos!"

Very Exciting!

Pigs!

"Hi Moo."

Yummy Fair Food!

I like it!

There were only 2 rides I could ride with James.  The Fair is the only place in the world that I'm too tall. :-)

The Bee Ride was his favorite.  He would say "High" everytime we went up.
"Look, we can see the flags."

"It was fun, Dada!"

And James was the only one to win a prize even though Dada tried very hard. :-)

Strong man!

Special Thanks to Grandmother for the pics!

SUMMER LOVIN'....HAD ME A BLAST!

This weekend brings the first Hog Game (Woo Pig!) and hopefully football weather to follow! But what a great summer Randall, James and I have had!  James has really started talking and we love every word!  "Socks" and "onion" are my favorites.  He still loves being outside-anything to do with water, rocks, dirt, leaves-so fun!  He also loves wearing his rain boots, even in 108 degree weather.  His new obsession, however, is "Max & Ruby," a nickelodeon show about a brother and sister rabbit.  We watch the show too many times a day to mention and read the books at least 10 times a day.  He's even slept with books several times. These are the days!  Please enjoy of few end of summer pics!

James playing in his water table.

Washing his car.

Swinging at the park. "Hi!"

"Bat."

Bowling.

We finally got a rain shower.  "Tree" in the rain.

Singing in the rain.

Pool party!

Bottom drop!

Just relaxing.

What a summer!

Time

"To everything there is a season; A time for every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1

Mama will be in heaven one year on Monday. I still can't believe it's been a year. Somedays it feels like yesterday; somedays like a lifetime! In honor of my beautiful mother and the thoughts of her that carry me through, I post these sweet pictures of my little man! We love and miss you Mama!

Life is good at the beach!

Not that we had any doubts before, but James is certainly our child!  He loved everything about the beach; the waves, the sand, the sun, the pool, the snacks....life is good!  We took a 5 day trip to Gulf Shores over 4th of July.  It was crowded but the beach never disappoints.  James especially loved letting the waves hit him and throwing wet sand, of course.  We had a special visit from our friends who live in Gulfport. You'll see in pics below-Paul, Megan, Matthew & Thomas.  The drive home was not as pleasant as days on the beach; it was a little too long for our 21 month old.  However, we made it home safe & sound and are already looking forward to next year!  Pics below.

Bright Future

Our future's so bright; we gotta wear shades! :-)  Randall, James & I headed to Wooster, AR for Alivia's first birthday party.  Alivia is my younger brother's baby.  James had a wonderful time exploring "Livy's" room with his other favorite cousin, Emily.  As always on these special days, Mama is greatly missed but know she is celebrating from a much better place.  Happy Birthday Livy!  Pictures courtesy of Papaw. :-)

With Children

"In America, there are two classes of travel-first class and with children."  ~Robert Benchley

We survived our first long hotel stay with James at his very mobile age! :-) We traveled to Fayetteville for Dylan's graduation (our nephew) and a Razorback baseball game.  Although James and I saw very little of the graduation or game and despite four nights in a pac'n play, he traveled and slept very well.  He really loved seeing his cousins and enjoyed the hotel elevator very much! Congrats to Dylan; we love you!
